JUNIOR'S
Junior handling is a special time for you and your
dog to learn the art of team work and true
companionship.  Never take your dog for granite
because without them you are not a team.
Remember just being in the ring with your dog
should be the best joy of all and not the winning.
The winning is a bonus for the both of you and
win or loose your dog should be rewarded with
love and praise at all times.  I truly love the dogs I
have had the pleasure to show in juniors’ and the
breed ring.  It has taught me a lot through the
years.
And no matter how good you are there is always
more to learn.
You will see many pictures of me and several of
the dogs I have shown through out my career as a
junior along with my little brother who I enjoyed
teaching.

Northern California English Springer
Specialty  with Tempe in October my
retirement from Junior’s week end.
This was a very busy week-end for me, I
was entered in both the Springer
Specialty with Tempe, the Northern
California American Cocker Specialty
with Santana (Pictured below) and the
Northern California English Setter
Specialty with Dawson (also Best Junior).
Also in breed classes at all of the
specialties.
This has always been a special show week-
end for me.  Your tired after the week-end
but you sure enjoyed it and always want to
do it again.
The show that follows these specialties is
Del Valle and the juniors’ completion at this
show is tuff.  You really feel that you have
accomplished something just placing in this
show.
Del Valle show in Northern Cal.
I was 10 here with Faith a 18 month
old English Setter that I co-owned.
I had 43 talented open juniors’ in my
class alone and open senior had 31.
I won Best Junior and was sponsored
by Pedigree to represent them.
(Faith doesn’t much like stacking on a
table and I think I needed a step stool).

The Theme Black & White
When I first started juniors’ I had a Springer
named “Maverick” He didn’t like other dogs.
Needless to say he pulled me down in the
juniors’ ring at this show my very first time in
juniors.  I told myself that I would never loose
here again and every year after I won and
with every breed I showed in juniors’. (English
Setter, English Springer, Cocker, German
Short Hair, and a Basenji).

Royal High
Another awesome week end…

Back to back Best Junior with Whistler my GSP I co-
owned with Valerie Nunes-Atkinson and of all places to
have the show.  My very own high school.  This was so
much fun this week end.  I also went Breed in
Cockers’, Welsh Springers, WB in Pointers, BOW in
Setters and RWB in English Springers.
I can go on with pictures until I
run out of space but that could
be rather boring so I want to
wish all the juniors’ success and
enjoyment that I have enjoyed
through the years.  And wish
them luck with their endeavors
what ever they be.

my little brother Mathew Kelly in
